Applications

1.  An important silicone intermediate, used as end-capping agent for synthesizing α- and α,ω-hydrosilane-terminated silicone polymers.

2.  Applied to prepare vinyldimethylsilanol, which can be used in palladium- catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of aryl iodide.

3.  Serves as hydrosilylation agent for alkyne, raw material of silicone surfactants, modifier for plastics and resins, and key 

feedstock of dendrimers.

4. Tetramethyldisilazane can be obtained via ammonolysis; also applicable to liner passivation in organic chlorine detection.

5. Hydrolysis yields tetramethyldihydrodisiloxane, used as end-capper for hydrogen-containing silicone oil, cross-linker for silicone rubber and intermediate of polyether-modified siloxane.
