Biological Activity

Haloxyfop-P-methyl is the active enantiomer of haloxyfop-methyl, a selective aryloxyphenoxypropionate (FOP) herbicide. It inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), blocking lipid biosynthesis in susceptible grass weeds.

Spectrum and Route of Action:

Selective systemic herbicide absorbed rapidly through foliage and translocated via phloem to root and shoot meristems. It inhibits ACCase, stopping growth quickly. Annual grasses die within 1-2 weeks; perennial grasses show gradual decline.

Scope of Application:

Controls a wide range of weeds including:

• Annual grasses (wild oats, blackgrass, annual meadowgrass, foxtails, barnyardgrass)

• Perennial grasses (johnsongrass, quackgrass, couch grass, bermudagrass)

• Not effective against broadleaf weeds
